Quizlet Learn mode for free: a study mode that brings missed cards back

Try it on your notes, free ↓

Learn mode is the part of flashcard apps that actually teaches you: instead of flipping through cards in order, it keeps showing you the ones you don’t know yet. On Quizlet it’s now part of the paid plan. On SnapDeck it is free on every deck, with no limit on rounds.

How SnapDeck’s Learn mode works

  • You see a question. Think of the answer before you flip: that effort is what builds memory.
  • Flip, then mark Got it or Missed it honestly.
  • A missed card goes back into the pile three cards later, so you see it again while it’s still fresh, then again until you get it.
  • The round ends when you’ve got every card right once. Cards you missed are shown first next time.

Using it well

  1. Short sessions, more often. One round today, one tomorrow, one in three days beats one long cram.
  2. Be strict. “I sort of knew it” is a miss.
  3. Finish with the quiz. Multiple choice checks you can recognise the right answer among close distractors, like on the exam.
  4. Edit cards you keep missing. Often the card asks two things at once. Split it.

Keyboard shortcuts on a laptop: Space flips, ← missed, → got it.

Make a deck from your notes and try a round. It takes about a minute.

Questions

Is SnapDeck Learn mode really free?

Yes, on every deck in your account, with unlimited rounds. Pro only adds unlimited AI deck generation and exam-style tests.

Is this spaced repetition?

Within a session, missed cards are repeated at short intervals; across sessions, cards you missed last time come first. For best results, study the deck again over several days.
